MIS?

 Hi

I've looked at last years discussion of OSS MIS systems but would  welcome some further  help.

I've been asked about a "free or low cost  Windows SIMS that is computer based rather than web based."  Probably for  international use. Can anybody help, is anyone using one or could  point me to someone else to talk to?

Thanks

General questions about OSS at secondary schools

Good afternoon forum users,

We are last year Business Administration students from a Dutch University and are doing an interesting research about open source systems. We found out some things about the use of OSS in the Netherlands, but still have some questions about the OSS in the United Kingdom.

Do you mind if we ask you some questions the following months concerning OSS on secondary schools in the UK?

Thanks in advance,

Jochem Durenkamp

Ideas for Open Source Year 5 lesson

Hi. I'm in a secondary school and as part of our primary liaison/community element I've been asked to do an hour with some Year 5s from our Feeder primaries -basically giving them a fun session playing games on the IWB or the computer (prob with ContentGenerator/Class Tools or HotPotatoes) But obviously there needs to be an educational focus and I thought it might be good to introduce them to the concept of OSS.
