When you want to ask something or share your thoughts, don’t hold back: the value of the community depends on you and others keeping a flow of discussion going.
In general it is preferable to post brief items. Think of the audience as well as what you want to say. Longer items can be attached to postings as articles or supporting resources. And even if you are irritated by someone else’s posting, try to avoid “flaming” in your response – everyone will be able to see what you write.
When you register you are set to receive an e-mail notification of all new postings in a weekly digest. You may wish to receive instead a daily digest of new postings or to receive an immediate e-mail notification for each new posting. Or you can subscribe (or unsubscribe) selectively, depending on which topics interest you. Go to your account to do this..
Working in cyberspace can be rather impersonal. You might want to refine the profile you set up when you registered: we are encouraging members of the community to use their own names, to tell others a bit about themselves and to include an image. Have a look at the profiles of other members of the community, and go to My account where you can amend and add to your own.
