About the venue

NCSL main entrance CC by-nc-sa mberryThe National College of School Leadership's Learning and Conference Centre is a purpose built, state of the art building, designed to encourage learning and inspire leadership.

We've booked the main conference room and a few break-out rooms, for the two keynotes and the parallel sessions. These have a full AV rig, including projectors and interactive whiteboards, and there's a video link for the main room if you'd like to join in but can't come in person.

There's plenty of space for adhoc gatherings and conversations in the atriums, and Wifi should be available throughout, so do bring a laptop or netbook if you'd like.

Nottingham is ideally situated for a national conference, with good road links via the M1 and M42, a fast mainline train service from St Pancras and Sheffield, and East Midlands Airport a 30 minute taxi ride away. A map is available from NCSL and travel instructions can be obtained from Google and National Rail. There's free parking at the Centre.

For those travelling the night before, there are 90 rooms available on site at £80 for B&B and £100 for dinner, bed and breakfast (although this is only available if 20 or more sign up). Participants are welcome to bring their partners if they're staying overnight. If you'd like to book a room (and perhaps supper), please contact us.
