Sugar is the operating system used on XO laptops in the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) project. Sugarlabs has recently released a version which can run on most computers, so it is now a viable platform for use in schools. It's designed from the ground up especially for children, but is quite unlike any other learning platform. This is an overview of Sugar, and how to get it up and running (hopefully!) on various machines.
